Hi John,

Last week, I asked you to join the Delaware Democratic Party at our Statewide Canvass Kickoff – and, let me tell you, Delaware Democrats showed up and showed out! Thank you to everyone who joined us in Sussex, Kent, and New Castle Counties, and if you couldn’t make it out this time around, there will be many more opportunities to get involved before November. 

One way you can have a huge impact is by making a contribution to help keep organizing efforts up and running. Knocking doors and speaking with voters directly is the best way to maximize our impact– but it’s also expensive. Our party runs off the donations we get from supporters like you, so I hope you’ll pitch in.

Trust me, I know it can be tempting to just turn away from politics at this moment and just hope it will all work out, but we can’t do that. That’s why I was excited to turn my angst into action by joining forces with dozens of grassroots activists to knock doors on a beautiful weekend– it turned out to be exactly what I needed to get fired up again!

We’ve seen what happens when we elect Democrats to office: we raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour, we codified Roe v Wade, we improved standards for primary care and enhanced access to telehealth, we funded mental health professionals for elementary schools, we expanded access to higher education, we tackled climate change by modernizing our RPS, and we created automatic voter registration, and so much more. We did all this because we counted on Democrats like you– there is simply too much at stake to rest on our laurels now.
