Public Notice: Source Materials License Renewal Application - UEC Wyoming Corp., WYSUA-1596

UEC Wyoming Corp. formerly Uranium One Americas, Inc., has applied for a license renewal for its Moore Ranch Uranium Project, Source Materials License WYSUA-1596, from the Land Quality Division of the Department of Environmental Quality of the State of Wyoming. The location of the Moore Ranch Uranium Project is: (Township 42 North, Range 75 West, Sections 26, 27, 33, 34, 35, and 36 and Township 41 North, Range 75 West, Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 and Township 42 North, Range 74 West, Section 31; Topographical Quadrangle Map, Campbell County, Wyoming). Coordinates for the proposed Satellite Plant are Latitude 43o 34? 25.00? and Longitude 105o 50? 41.75? in the Powder River Basin of Campbell County, Wyoming. The Moore Ranch Uranium Project is located approximately 57 miles north-northeast of Casper, approximately 54 miles south-southwest of Gillette, approximately 25 miles southwest of Wright and approximately 25 miles northeast of Midwest/Edgerton. Access to the site from the east is on State Highway 59 or State Highway 50 to State Highway 387. Access from the west is from I-25 to State Highway 259 to State Highway 387. The main access to the satellite plant and wellfields is located off Highway 387 in T42N, R75W, Section 27. The proposed mining activities are scheduled to begin construction in 2025 and continue mining and restoration activities until 2039, however this schedule is dependent on uranium market conditions. The proposed future use of the affected land, after mining, is unrestricted use for livestock grazing and wildlife.

Information regarding this license renewal may be reviewed in the Office of the Land Quality Division, Department of Environmental Quality in Cheyenne or the Campbell County Clerk's Office, Gillette, Wyoming.? Written comments to the proposed license renewal must be received by the Administrator of the Land Quality Division, Department of Environmental Quality, 200 W. 17th Street, Suite 10, Cheyenne, WY? 82002, before the close of business, August 23, 2022. Comments may also be submitted by the same deadline via the Land Quality Division?s electronic comment portal at [link removed]. If a written or electronic comment from an aggrieved party specifically requests a public hearing with the Department a public hearing shall be held.? The Land Quality Division shall publish notice of the time, date and location of the hearing in a newspaper of general circulation in the locality of the proposed operation once a week for at least two (2) consecutive weeks immediately prior to the hearing.? The hearing would be conducted in accordance with the Wyoming Administrative Procedure Act (W.S. ?16-3-101 through ?16-3-115) as it pertains to hearings.? The Wyoming Oil and Gas Commission will be mailed a copy of the application mine plan map as required in W.S. ?35-11-406(j).
