There are so many challenges that we must address at all levels of government, including in Congress. We must codify the right to reproductive freedom into law, we must help hardworking families who are struggling to keep the lights on, a roof over their heads, and put food on the table, and we must enact federal legislation to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines that are wreaking havoc on our communities.

Listen, it’s unfortunate that there are so many elected officials who are career politicians simply using their current office as a stepping stone to the next, only looking out for their own self-interests, not the people they’re supposed to represent — but it doesn’t have to be that way.

Part of the solution is to elect leaders like Hava Holzhauer who have done the work in our communities, know firsthand the struggles facing working families, and understand the needs of our seniors.
