This isn't right: The Trump Administration went ahead with new restrictions that will take away food stamp benefits for thousands of the most vulnerable Ohioans.

We need to stand up for the Ohioans who are depending on this lifeline to put food on the table. Will you sign our petition?

Trump officials say the restrictions are meant to prevent food stamps from becoming a "way of life."

I'm guessing they don't know any off these families, because food stamps aren't a way of life. They're a last resort.

As of 2017, 45% of Ohioans who participate in the SNAP program -- otherwise known as food stamps -- are members of working families. They have jobs -- but the companies they work for don't pay them enough for them to make ends meet and put food on the table for their families.

Add your name to defend this critical safety net for millions of Americans.

Roughly 1.3 million Ohioans benefit from food stamps every month, and the program has kept 419,000 people out of poverty in Ohio.

And this isn't the end of it: The Trump Administration proposed even more rules that would take away food stamps from even more in-need Ohioans.

We need to stand up for the most vulnerable people in our communities. Add your name today.

With gratitude,

Sherrod
