House Democrats are working and delivering for the American people, Team.
Take my colleague Rep. Elissa Slotkin for example. Her district borders mine to the north and west and is the toughest district in Michigan.
As a CIA analyst who served three tours in Iraq alongside the military, she worked on some of our nation’s toughest security challenges, serving Presidents from both parties at the White House National Security Council and at the Pentagon. In Congress, Rep. Slotkin has fought to lower prescription drug costs, protect Michigan’s Great Lakes, and bring manufacturing back to Michigan.
She is the only member of Congress running for reelection from a district that voted for Romney in 2012, Trump in 2016, and Trump again in 2020. And now that Michigan’s district lines have been redrawn, she’s running in one of the top ten most competitive seats in the country.
Her seat is one of the top targets for Washington Republicans, and they’ve already reserved millions of dollars against her on TV in the fall. I, therefore, need your help to make sure she wins in November. To succeed in such a competitive seat, she’ll need resources to reach voters, recruit volunteers, and purchase advertisements to reach folks in a brand new district.
