This groundbreaking reform is gaining serious momentum. Here's why...

Friend, I want to share a major bright spot for our democracy with you. You see, the 2019 and 2018 elections saw record turnout -- with millions of Americans making their voices heard.

Why? One big reason is that in just the past few years, many states have made a simple -- but hugely impactful -- change to the way they run elections: Automatic Voter Registration.

This reform can bring MILLIONS of new eligible voters onto the rolls, while making our elections more secure at the same time. It cuts down on paperwork, saves time for states and voters alike, and helps make sure our elections represent what people actually want.

BEST OF ALL: we’ve identified multiple states -- red, blue, and purple -- where Automatic Voter Registration is achievable in next year’s legislative sessions. Now, we’re making a plan to get it done. And I’m hoping I can count on your urgent support to make sure we’re ready to carry it out.

If you agree that we should pass Automatic Voter Registration in as many states as we can next year, you can make a major impact with your contribution today.

This reform is winnable and spreading, and it gets results. We’re talking millions of new voters -- Americans who’ve never participated in our elections before -- finally having their say.

And, it means finally making necessary investments in our voter registration systems -- so we can update and modernize them for the 21st century.

It’s straightforward, it’s effective -- and taking it nationwide will make our democracy stronger than ever. And only Common Cause has the grassroots organizing power needed to keep winning AVR in state after state.

Just look at what happened after Common Cause Oregon led the fight to enact Automatic Voter Registration in their state a few years back. Then, in the 2016 election, the state saw a significant increase in voter participation -- with at least 100,000 newly registered Oregonians showing up to the polls.

Now imagine if we could repeat that success on a national level.

Enacting AVR in all 50 states could add more than 50 million new, eligible voters to the rolls. And -- because AVR lets us use the information that state governments are already collecting to verify registrations in real-time -- it’d strengthen the security and integrity of our elections.

Friend, I’m writing to ask for your help as we expand AVR to even more states like Ohio and New York -- and help implement it in states where we’ve already passed it. Together, we can make a MAJOR impact for voters and bring people into our democracy who aren’t being heard right now.

Your urgent support will ensure we can add MILLIONS of new voters to the rolls -- and make sure every eligible voter has the chance to participate in our democracy.

Automatic Voter Registration just makes sense -- which is why it enjoys widespread bipartisan support.

And with your help, we can fight for this commonsense solution and pass it in multiple states during next year’s legislative sessions.

Thank you for speaking up for every American’s right to be heard,

Sylvia Albert, Director of Voting & Elections
