Hey John, If you haven't heard or seen by now, Democrats and our liberal opponent – Raphael Warnock – are viciously attacking me – with false and defamatory ads. Senator Warnock knows his record is responsible for crippling our country, so he's gone on the offensive to distract and mislead the voters with the help of a Chuck Schumer-backed Super PAC. I've forwarded one of the first emails we sent after announcing our campaign for the U.S. Senate in Georgia last fall to remind you why we got into this race in the first place. All eyes are on Georgia because the Peach State will determine the Senate majority this November. Today in America, politicians pit American against American. Rich vs. Poor. Black vs. White. Urban vs. Rural. I don't believe in that garbage. It's a lie. I'm Herschel Walker, and I want you to be among the first to know that I'm running to be the next United States Senator from Georgia. I'm a conservative who believes in smaller government, a strong military, personal responsibility, and making sure ALL people have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. I will win this incredibly important race, but I need your help. I'm asking you to chip in whatever you can, whether it's $100, $50, or even just $10 to ensure I'm in the strongest starting position possible. Chip In Today → At my core, I'm a runner. But I wasn't always fast. I grew up in the small town of Wrightsville, Georgia, where I learned discipline, faith in God, and the value of hard work. It's also where I trained non-stop and got real fast. I'm from a working-class family. I was one of seven children, so you'd be correct to say my parents had their hands full. My childhood was a happy one – even more so once I overcame a stutter and disciplined myself to get in strong physical shape. Growing up in Georgia, I learned about sacrificing the things you want in the moment for the future you know you can have ... if you work hard enough. Growing up in Georgia, I also learned it doesn't matter where you come from, what your family has, or what color your skin is – if you want something bad enough and you're willing to work hard for it, you can achieve it. You may know of me from my days playing college football at the University of Georgia, where I was awarded the Heisman Trophy in 1982. I was blessed to be successful in college football, enough so that my college career paved the way for me to play football professionally for many years in the USFL and NFL. My career took me all over the country. Despite living in New Jersey when I played for the Generals, Dallas when I played for the Cowboys, Minneapolis when I played for the Vikings, or Philadelphia and New York when I played for the Eagles and the Giants, respectively, my heart was always in Georgia. And at this moment in time, I'm deeply concerned about the future of Georgia and our country. Unfortunately, a liberal Democrat was elected to the U.S. Senate from Georgia in a runoff election earlier this year, and he's now serving out the last two years of a beloved former Republican senator's term. The future of Georgia – and our country – is too important for me to stand on the sideline as radical liberals take our country down the wrong path.
