Just a quick note to share that I hope you, and everyone in our country, tunes in TONIGHT at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 6pm MT / 5pm PT for a primetime hearing of the January 6th Committee. We'll be focused on the 187 minutes that began when the President of the United States learned our Capitol was under attack by his supporters and ended with him releasing a video telling the mob he loved them. What was he doing? Who was he talking to? We'll lay it all out tonight.
And finally, I'm forwarding along below a Grassroots Update that went out to everyone engaged in our volunteer community. Whether you have the bandwidth to get more involved or not, I always find it encouraging to see ALL the activity going on, and wanted to spread that inspiration today.

JULY MID-MONTH GRASSROOTS UPDATE

State Chapter meetings all across the country; thousands of new members; and a statewide deployment in Michigan to challenge MAGA head-on: These are just a few exciting things happening within the movement!
All things Country First have indeed RAMPED up and we would not be here without dedicated volunteers like yourself. The difference we can make together is vitally important to American democracy. We strongly encourage you to read below and decide how you can elevate Country First to new heights.
Here’s what you need to know:
MICHIGAN MONTH OF ACTION
Michigan is the primary front in Ultra MAGA's war on democracy, with insurrectionists hoping to take control of the Michigan legislature unless they are stopped by Country First. The Republican primary elections are drowning in candidates promoting the Big Lie, defending the January 6th insurrection, and using dangerous rhetoric to scare voters into supporting their extreme views.
There is no place in this country for political violence or false allegations of voter fraud. This is why Country First volunteers are channeling their energy into calling voters, knocking on doors, and producing written content to prevent Trump-endorsed candidates from moving on to the general election.
We believe all reasonable people of goodwill can put partisan affiliations aside in the primary (for the next 2 weeks!) to join our Primary First efforts <[link removed]>. We have a team deployed here on the ground, have a national network of phone bankers, and digital change-agents ensuring that all Michiganders know to get out and vote.

STATE CHAPTER MEETINGS + TRAINING
Each week, state chapters have been launching meetings to recruit more members to volunteer and foster dialogue about the state of our democracy. We strongly encourage all members to join our Private Troll-Free Facebook Group <[link removed]> and Private Slack Community <[link removed]> to collaborate with other members and stay up to date outside of email notifications and in between meetings. BOOK CLUB
The Country First Book Club is a fantastic (and growing) community that gathers each month to read a book and discuss the very problems that Country First aims to address. NEW VOLUNTEER TRAINING
On the last Tuesday of each month, we come together to welcome our thousands of new members and volunteers by hosting a training to go over all things Country First. This training provides a comprehensive overview of our Grassroots Program and provides an opportunity to engage in dialogue with other members from across the country.
