John —

Ami wanted to make sure you saw this news:
This is the first law to address gun violence in nearly 3 decades and is a start to our work preventing dangerous people from accessing firearms. It will also increase investments in the nation’s mental health system.

Just this week, we passed the Active Shooter Alert Act. It will create an alert system to notify the public about active shooters.

This is a landmark bill that, when combined with the rest of our efforts, is a major step in the right direction. There are numerous bills in the House we’re working to push through after a series of mass shootings over the last few months.

The Democratic House is focused on this issue, but the sad fact is most Republicans refuse to work with us on this major public health crisis.

That’s why we need a mandate from our supporters to prove we’re not backing down. Please add your name by midnight to have your name included.

John, not only is gun violence killing too many Americans every day, doctors and nurses across the country have to see too many people coming in from gun-related incidences. It should not be normal to see kids who should be learning to ride their bikes or teens who should be planning for their futures in the ICU with gun injuries.

This is yet another reason why protecting and expanding our majorities is so important. Democrats need a strong coalition in order to address the gun violence epidemic in this country with speed and efficiency.

Please make your voice heard and sign your name right away to support Ami and Democrats finding solutions to gun violence so we can show Republicans that they should join us→

Thank you for standing up,

Team Bera
