I’ll get right to it, John: in the most recent fundraising reports, Republicans outraised us thanks to out-of-state donors and special interest groups pouring in serious cash.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Jack Whitver reported an insanely high average contribution of $1,555, mostly from GOP megadonors, special interest PACs, and lobbyists.

Republicans are counting on outside spending to prop up their campaigns because they know they don’t have the support of real Iowans. Will you join our grassroots movement to flip Iowa blue with a contribution of $10 or more right away? ([link removed])

We knew this was going to happen - that’s why we’ve been so intentional about building a strong, grassroots donor base to combat their special interest campaign contributions.

I’m proud that nearly 10 times more Iowans gave to our Democratic Leader, Zach Wahls, than Jack Whitver. Unlike Whitver, Zach’s average contribution was $58, 89% of his contributions came from Iowans, and 82% of donors were new to our campaign.

When our Democratic candidates are elected to the Iowa Senate, they will work for the people, not special interest PACs. But we cannot afford to let these Ultra MAGA megadonors silence our voices.
