john — I first ran for attorney general because I wanted to protect every Nevadan. And every single day, that’s what I’ve tried my hardest to do. Over the last few years, we’ve fought to safeguard our constitutional and civil rights, reform our criminal justice system, strengthen our communities, and so much more. Now, I’m running for re-election to build on that progress.

Growing up, I spent many nights wondering if the electricity would turn on the next day. I didn’t understand how my family and I could all be working so hard yet couldn’t seem to get ahead. But I had champions in my corner who helped me succeed. Now, it’s the honor of my life to be that champion for other Nevada families.

In the end, I got my shot and a chance at a better life. But right now, too many Nevadans can’t say the same. Decades of inaction, partisan gridlock, dark money, and greed have left far too many working families, like mine growing up, feeling like the system is rigged against them.

But here’s the thing: I don’t think all hope is lost. I don’t think the system is too broken to fix. I know that we can and must do better to build opportunities for everyone .

That’s why I became a legislator in the first place, why I ran for attorney general, and why I’m running again for re-election — to give folks like you a fighting shot and to have your back.

As Attorney General, I’ve fought every single day to preserve our democratic norms, to protect our rule of law, our democracy, and our values.

I want to keep doing that, john.
