Lauren is back in Washington this week working hard to continue making progress for our communities. Here’s a look at what’s she’s voting on this week alone:

• The Respect for Marriage Act to protect same-sex marriage
• Right to Contraception Act to protect access to contraceptives
• Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act to lower costs for working families

But despite the hard work Lauren has been putting in to improve the lives of folks across IL-14, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has named her a top target in their fight to reclaim the House majority this November.

Last week, the NRCC announced that they’ve raised a whopping $215 million this cycle to flip seats like Lauren’s and implement their far-right agenda — which includes implementing a national abortion ban and building Donald Trump’s border wall.

And on top of that, they just added our far-right Republican opponent, Scott Gryder, to their list of “on the radar” candidates in their Young Guns Program (yes, that’s really what they call it). As a result, we are expecting they’ll flood our race with tens of millions of dollars to tilt the scales in their favor.

It’s critical that we prepare for the inevitable attacks that will come our way in the weeks ahead so we can protect this seat and keep up our policy-focused work — but to do that, we’ll need your help.
