West Norriton Veteran Affairs Clinic
|
On Monday, July 18, I had the privilege to tour the West Norriton Veteran Affairs Clinic. This outpatient site, which is conveniently located for Montgomery County residents, provides many of the same primary, preventative, and mental health care services that are available at the main Coatesville campus.
I spoke with leadership and learned about the many services the clinic offers to veterans including marital and family counseling, PTSD and substance use disorder treatment, physical exams, weight and medication management, and laboratory services.

Remembering the Victims of the Aurora Colorado Shooting
|
This Wednesday, July 20, we remember the 12 lives tragically lost ten years ago in the Aurora Colorado shooting. Unfortunately, gun violence is still very much a salient issue in our nation today. The recently passed Pennsylvania budget saw $155 Million allocated to gun violence investigation and violence prevention programs.
These grants funded by the ARPA will help communities and law enforcement agencies invest in violence reduction and improve investigative efforts. While this is a good start, it is imperative that we draft and pass critical legislation to protect our communities and those we love most and prevent these terrible tragedies from occurring.

It’s not too late to donate! My district office will continue to host its summer food drive and seek donations to benefit Daily Bread Food Pantry and the St. James Outreach House.
Donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products, and school supplies are greatly needed and appreciated. Drop-off locations include the 5 municipal buildings in the district and my district office!

Please continue to stay safe, healthy and well-informed.
