Hi there,
As women across the country (and a 10-year-old child in Ohio) are denied life-saving abortion care, we are taking our responsibility as one of the nation’s newest, and most unapologetic, pro-choice organizations incredibly seriously.
That’s why we’re not afraid to hold political leaders accountable – even if they’re Democrats.
There are nearly 150 anti-choice Democrats up and down the ballot and across the nation. Many of these anti-choice politicians currently hold elected office and are running for re-election. We wanted to fill you in.
The good news is that many of these anti-choice politicians will be facing off against pro-choice women in the primaries. We are backing as many of these pro-choice challengers as we possibly can. Will you help us support their campaigns and protect our rights by contributing $20 today? →

Why is this happening? As divisions in our country grow, some candidates who were once deemed “moderate” conservatives are now running as Democrats or Independents instead. And in Democratic strongholds, Republicans often run as Democrats because it’s the only way they can be considered by liberal voters. Plus, the Democratic establishment has a track record of endorsing anti-choice candidates (Henry Cuellar 👀), signaling that being anti-choice is not a dealbreaker as candidates pursue party backing.
Just look at Democratic strongholds, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. According to NBC, “Rhode Island received an "F" grade from NARAL Pro-Choice America in 2016 and has a General Assembly run almost entirely by Right to Life-backed Democrats.” And a number of pro-choice women are running to oust State Representatives who have been taking disappointing votes on the issue of choice in Massachusetts.
We are proud to endorse many of those pro-choice candidates, and are eager to announce our fiercely pro-choice slate of women running for State Representative seats in the state of Massachusetts:
Tamisha Civil
Teresa English
Heather May
Nichole Mossalam
Eunice Zeigler
Electing pro-choice women at the state level is a vital part of our strategy. Without Roe v. Wade, anti-choice legislators are working relentlessly to block access to abortion — and as we’re learning more and more, even in blue states, women’s right to comprehensive reproductive care is at risk.
Federal Democrats have failed to codify Roe v. Wade, which means we must bring this fight to the states. We cannot rely on once-Republican, “Democrats” to protect us. We need pro-choice progressives with a track record of advocating for choice.
Can you help elect the next wave of state-level, pro-choice Democrats? We cannot afford to send a single anti-choice politician to office in November. The stakes are too high. Can you pitch in $25 or more to our State Primary Fund today? [link removed]
We have a lot of work ahead of us. Will you join us in the fight?
