Catherine has always had a keen focus on environmental issues. Her victories in combating climate change include establishing an Energy Director position and the Office of Sustainability, funding flood control projects, encouraging investment in renewable energies, and reducing local governments; carbon footprint. She’s made the acute connection between social justice and environmental policy and has successfully passed legislation that has saved taxpayers’ money and kept our air and water clean.
