I wanted to make sure you saw the news that our race was added to the House Democrats’ "Red to Blue" program. If you don’t know, “Red to Blue” is reserved for the strongest candidates running in critical districts that we must hold in order to keep House control.

This is proof that we are in a strong position to flip this seat.

Ken Calvert has had no choice but to acknowledge our momentum, and in typical Calvert fashion, he's using it as an opportunity to further divide our community. In a recent fundraising email to donors, Calvert disparaged “Democrats in Palm Springs” and sounded the alarm about their efforts to defeat him.

As a reminder, Palm Springs is in Calvert’s district. These are voters he’s running to represent. Instead of earning their trust, he’s casting them as villains to raise money. It’s a play straight from the Trump playbook, and it’s no wonder the former president endorsed him.

This type of hyperpartisanship is exactly why I decided to run in the first place. We can’t address any issues seriously by vilifying the people we’re supposed to represent. The good news is that we now have our BEST CHANCE to hold Calvert accountable at the ballot box.
