NIAC and NIAC Action Academies provide fellowships to connect future leaders with different government offices. We provide dedicated trainings, fellowships, and support for Iranian Americans to successfully run for office, work in Congress and federal agencies, manage political campaigns, and organize our community locally for political change. Our Congressional Fellows will work in the halls of Capitol Hill, while our Organizing Fellows will gain first-hand experience in engaging our communities.
Hi John,
We’re so excited to announce that Zach has joined NIAC as our Organizing Fellow!
Zach first got involved with NIAC in 2019 when he attended our annual gala with his mother. It was then that he realized NIAC amplifies Iranian-American voices and therefore retakes control of our community’s narrative and what the public thinks of Iranian-American engagement in U.S. politics.
A little while later, we recruited Zach to become a NY Leadership Council member, and he was the number one phone banker for the 2020 elections and Georgia runoffs! Zach then applied to the Organizing Fellowship because he wanted to dive more deeply into the world of politics and gain a first-row seat to grassroots organizing.
Zach is working with our New York and New Jersey chapters and leadership council members to grow their reach and deepen their impact. He’s also conducting research on midterm elections in New York. Lastly, Zach’s laser-focused on increasing membership and volunteering to build a strong coalition to engage Congress on a grassroots level to advance our community’s priorities.
Zach’s work is crucial in widening NIAC’s reach while simultaneously coming up with new and creative ways to reach Iranian Americans across New York and New Jersey. We’re very grateful to have him on the team.
We’re excited to see where Zach and all our fellows go and we're so thankful to supporters like you who've made investments that power our fellowship and organizing programs.
