[Snapchat #RealConvo Guides]([link removed])

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is partnering with Snapchat to empower users to understand what to do when they or someone they care about needs mental health support.

As part of Snapchat’s [Here for You]([link removed]), an in-app education portal that proactively surfaces content related to mental health from expert organizations, AFSP has turned our [#RealConvo Guides]([link removed]) into quick content Snapchat users can click through to learn more.

AFSP has created three #RealConvo Guides for the platform on the following topics:

- How to reach out for help if you’re struggling
- How to start and continue a conversation on mental health
- What to do if someone tells you that they’re thinking of suicide

Snapchat reaches 90% of 13-24-year-olds in the U.S. This partnership helps us reach youth who are reporting increasing struggles with their mental health. When users type keywords such as “mental health,” “suicidal thoughts,” or “depression” into the search bar on the Snapchat app, they will be directed to the Here for You portal, where in addition to AFSP’s #RealConvo Guides, they can access resources from leading organizations like Active Minds, Ad Council, Movember, and more.
