Dear John,
This summer is heating up fast. And I don’t just mean the record temperatures felt across the country.
Recent Supreme Court decisions have fanned the flames among those who are out of touch with our Constitution.
The “woke” mob did not celebrate Independence Day this July in the same way American patriots did.
While we were busy celebrating our founding documents and constitutional freedoms, those enforcing “cancel culture” wanted to tear them up.
Radical activists advocated for boycotting July 4th, crying out for a return to a phantom “separation of church and state.” They accused the Supreme Court of being an antiquated institution that needs to be “reformed,” and heavily critiqued the Declaration of Independence.
And the greatest irony—our founding principles and liberties are the very things that allow such speech and are more relevant today than ever before.
Protect your constitutional freedoms from cancel culture »
It’s clear to me that we must protect these precious constitutional rights at all costs. The “canceling” mob is coming after people of faith, especially employees who face a hostile work environment.
Three crucial cases First Liberty is fighting right now show the attacks our clients are facing in the workplace:
- Aaron and Melissa Klein, who are petitioning to the Supreme Court in the fall after their family-owned bakery was shut down because this couple ran their business according to their faith.
- Lacey Smith and Marli Brown, flight attendants who have been fired from Alaska Airlines for daring to speak their religious beliefs at work.
- Robyn Strader, the nurse practitioner who was fired from CVS Pharmacy after CVS wanted to force her to prescribe contraception even though it violated her religious convictions.
Hostility against people of faith is greater than ever before, which is why I’m asking you to stand up for religious freedom today »
These acts of religious discrimination in the workplace are outrageous and dangerous. They show just how out of touch the woke corporate elites are with the people of faith who work for them.
All of these cases point to an emerging theme out of the radical Left’s playbook: They are systematically shutting out voices who won’t tow the “woke” corporate line.
Religious Americans are being pushed out of the workplace for simply daring to live out their convictions. It’s urgent that we protect people of faith in America.
We are being given an opportunity like never before to stand up for religious freedom. And we can’t afford to slow our advance in this critical fight.
That’s why I’m asking you to stand up with our clients and fight cancel culture today with your very best gift »
Your gift will make a tremendous impact and is vital to winning this battle against woke corporate America.
By defending the constitutional rights of First Liberty clients, you are also protecting your job and the jobs of people close to you.
I know that together, we can stand up to cancel culture and win the day for religious freedom in America. So thank you for you generous and even sacrificial gift.
Gratefully,
Kelly
