John,
Last night, the House of Representatives voted to PASS the Respect for
Marriage Act, which would codify marriage equality in the United States. This
generational bill was passed in response to Justice Clarence Thomas’ assertions
in hisDobbs opinion that marriage equality and other LGBTQ rights could
potentially be left to the states, just like the right to obtain an abortion.
The bill passed 257-167, with 47 Republicans joining every single Democrat in
voting yes. But guess who couldn’t be bothered to vote for this incredibly
popular bill? That’s right. Matt Rosendale voted no.
The Montana Democratic Party stands with the LGBTQ community and we’re proud
that the House passed this bill. What we’re embarrassed by is Matt Rosendale’s
continued unwillingness to lift a finger to help Montanans or Americans.If
you’re tired of him, too, please consider chipping in to help the MDP defeat
him.

Let’s run the numbers on Rosendale’s record.
So far this year, he’s voted NO on:
* A woman’s right to choose
* Marriage equality
* Addressing the climate crisis ravaging our state
* Keeping guns away from dangerous people
* Lowering prices and providing baby formula to desperate mothers
Rosendale doesn’t serve Montanans in Congress like he was elected to do. All
he knows is how to vote NO. So what’s the point of him representing us?
We believe it’s time for new representation. Will you rush in a donation to
the Montana Democratic Party to help us send someone who will fight for
Montanans to Washington this November?

The Montana Democratic Party is the party of the people. We welcome to our
cause Montanans of every color, creed, and condition. Our history as a party
teaches us that by working together and speaking as one, we can move society
forward, especially when we raise our voices for those among us with little
money, influence, or acceptance.
