Earlier this month, we noticed a concerning trend in our online fundraising, John.
Here’s what we saw: last quarter, Pramila’s online fundraising dropped by 19%. Pramila relies on small-dollar donations from our grassroots supporters. And support from folks like you allows Pramila to legislate for the people, not corporations. So, a 19% decrease is worrying.
In order to reverse the trend, we set a goal this month to raise $30,000 from emails just like this one. Grassroots donations from emails we send is a critical part of Pramila’s online fundraising program. And we’re 3.4% behind on our email fundraising goal this month.
Pramila is less than two weeks away from her primary. We must ensure she wins on 8/2 and then in the general election in November. Two Republicans are running against Pramila and we can’t take anything for granted.
Pramila is not only campaigning for re-election, she’s also fighting to help elect Democrats in swing districts. This is a tough midterm year and if we don’t give it everything we can to protect Democratic seats, we could see the rise of an extremist GOP majority in the House.
Our campaign is one of the few that runs a year-round organizing effort that has provided field organizing, phone banking, and fundraising support for people-first progressives running in primaries. Pramila has traveled to be on the ground to knock doors and build support for progressives in states across the country.
