WHAT: Public Accuracy Test for the electronic equipment to be used in the Oakland County Absent Voter Counting Board for the August 2, 2022 Election
WHEN:?Monday, July 25, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: Oakland County Board of Canvassers Training Room Oakland County Courthouse 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341 (use north entrance)
WHY: The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to verify the accuracy of the tabulation of votes.
?The Public Accuracy Test is one of the many ways the security, accuracy, and transparency of our electoral process is ensured,? said Oakland County Clerk/ Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. ?The equipment being tested will be used on Election Day to count the absentee ballots cast in nineteen Oakland County communities. The testing is also a great opportunity for members of the public to learn and observe the process.?
The August 2 election includes partisan primaries for Governor, Congress, State Senate, State House, County Commissioner, and some local offices as well as local ballot measures. Voters may only vote for one party?s candidates.
