Sam Goldman:  We cannot
rely on what we're told is politics as usual right now. We face a
fascist movement that will not relent and will not rest. They are going
for a national abortion ban. They are going for contraception, they are
going for gay marriage and gay sex. They're going for it all. And the
one force that continues to need to assert itself is the people in the
streets in our millions, unrelenting, being un-ignorable and
uncompromising in the demand that the federal government act now to
restore legal abortion nationwide.
There are actions that legal scholars
have talked about that are well within the executive branch’s
(prerogative) that could happen right now. But none of that's going to
happen short of the people in the streets, demanding it and not
stopping.
Mark Tinkleman:
In the wake of SCOTUS eviscerating abortion rights and states across the
country moving  to restrict and criminalize abortion there has been a
series of scurrilous, libelous, dangerous hit pieces that have been
published in The Daily Beast, the Intercept and The Daily Caller,
attacking the one group that's called people into the streets to demand
legal abortion nationwide now. And they've been based largely on Twitter
trolls and some self-proclaimed shit posters. In particular, these
attacks have been directed at Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights.
That's
the one group, the only group, that before the Dobbs case came down, the
decision, were mobilizing people to prevent Roe from being overturned
and now are the only group right now calling for legal abortion
nationwide now, that are mobilizing and geared towards making that
happen. And in particular, these attacks have been directed at
revolutionaries who are part of or supportive of this movement.

Paul Street "examines the Trump phenomenon and presidency as fascist. Fascism here connotes not generically 'bad' politics or a consolidated political-economic regime (Mussolini’s Italy or Hitler’s Germany) but a set of political, movement, and ideological traits understood within the context of the neoliberal-capitalist era. This argument is developed across seven chapters that recount Trump’s assault on the 2020 election, specifically define the meaning of fascism as it is used in this book, demonstrate the neofascist nature of the Trump presidency, engage intellectual class Trumpism-fascism-denial, analyze the Trump base, root Trumpism in a longstanding and indeed founding American white nationalism, examine why Trump rose to power when he did, and suggest paths for fascism-proofing the USA."
