OutRight is countering and challenging these cis-gender, heteronormative forms of indoctrination globally. With shouts of “Glory to Ukraine”and “F— Putin,” thousands of Poles marched through the streets of Warsaw alongside Ukrainian LGBTQ activists. The state of Pride worldwide is a litmus test for LGBTIQ visibility and recognition. In its second year of monitoring and reporting on global Pride events, OutRight presents Visible: Pride Around The World in 2021, published with support from Google.org. Antigua and Barbuda repealed sections 12 and 15 of the Sexual Offences Act of 1995. The decision, handed down by the Honorable Justice Marissa Robertson, ruled that the law conflicted with Constitutional guarantees of freedom of expression, personal privacy, and protection from discrimination.
