WASHINGTON—The Co-Chairs of the Blue Dog Coalition—Reps. Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01), Ed Case (HI-01), Stephanie Murphy (FL-07), and Kurt Schrader (OR-05) made the following statement after meeting with Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. The Blue Dog Coalition met with Secretary Raimondo earlier this week:
“Our nation faces a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a long-term foundation for a robust and competitive economy. We need to pass CHIPS funding now, even if it’s a narrower package. Furthermore, we face a strategic competitor in China. Congress must look at points of alignment on China-specific elements of USICA and COMPETES and move forward with more China-related legislation.”
