An Italian company is once again trying to build a massive new development near the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park — and we need your help to stop it. This is one of the greatest threats to the park in its 100-year history. The groundwater pumping required would almost certainly suck dry park seeps and springs and hurt Havasupai Falls.

The Trump administration is trying to force through this project, which a former Grand Canyon park supervisor says will cause "tremendous" harm.

Tell National Park Service Director David Vela to stand up for Grand Canyon and its lifegiving waters by formally opposing the mega-development.

Trump officials have ordered the National Park Service not to defend the Grand Canyon against the development — an attempt to muzzle opposition. But a clear voice for the park is exactly what we need. The proposal is wildly inappropriate and would add 1.8 million square feet of commercial space, 2,500 hotel rooms and 2,200 new housing units to the small town of Tusayan, Arizona. The development will significantly increase traffic to the park, which is already overcrowded and struggling to fund much-needed repairs.

Act now to urge the Park Service's director to stand up for Grand Canyon and speak out against this destructive project.
