The Ballotpedia Holiday Cookie Election
We’re stocking up on flour, dusting off the cookie cutters, and preheating the oven. The holiday baking season is here. What better time for voters to weigh in on a very important question; “what cookie best represents the 2019 holiday season?''
Of course, I know all Daily Brew readers strive to be informed voters, so we’ve put together the best election information resources on holiday cookies you’ll find anywhere on the web. Visit our election hub, here.
The filing deadline was last Friday, December 6. Peanut butter balls were disqualified from the ballot after it was ruled they did not meet the requirement of being a cookie. (Thanks for those of you who weighed in on this in our What’s The Tea question and on Twitter last Friday.)
The race will be decided by ranked-choice vote counting. Polls are open until Thursday, 5:00 E.T. The 10 candidates are listed below:
Chocolate peppermint bark cookie
Gingerbread cookie
Snickerdoodle
Peanut butter blossom
Chocolate chip cookie
Chocolate Crinkle
Sugar cookie
Kolatki
Snowflake
Oatmeal raisin cookie
Make sure your vote is counted in this important holiday election.
