John,
It's your last chance to have a say on Labour's Three
Waters Agenda.
Labour is one step closer to realising the worst fears of local
communities, with submissions closing on its Three Waters legislation
later this week.
The Water Services Entities Bill (Three Waters) lays out the final
plans for the establishment of a complex and unaccountable
bureaucracy.
The Ardern-led Labour Government has ignored alternative proposals
such as establishing council-controlled organisations or contracting
services, relentlessly pursuing its mega-entities model.
Under this model your local community will lose its voice
and cross-subsidise neighbouring communities, all while getting worse
outcomes.
This is classic Labour, deciding they know what’s best for you and
your community, and centralising decision-making at your expense.
National has consistently opposed Labour’s water reforms and if
elected in 2023 we will repeal and replace Three Waters.
Worried about the number of submissions in opposition to the Bill,
Labour has been rallying support, and asking supporters to submit. If
you haven't already, now is the best time for you to make sure your
voice is heard.
Given the short time frame, and the importance of your voice being
heard, we've compiled a template submission response. Simply add your
name and email and hit send by Thursday 21 July.
Make a submission
You can help us further by sending this email to concerned family
and friends and encourage them to make a submission too. If you’re
able to, we’d also welcome your donation to our Three Waters campaign
so we can do our best to stop the Labour Government from taking your
local water assets.
