After the conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade, A.G. Holder said:

“The Supreme Court must be reformed in order to ensure that the Court serves the interests of the people instead of the interests of an extreme, minority faction... Now is the time for the people to engage in our electoral process and to reimagine, and restore, our democratic institutions so that they live up to our founding ideals.”

There you have it. If Republicans are able to win state supreme court seats this year, they’ll try to gerrymander and suppress the vote like never before. It’s up to us to stop them.

That’s why the NDRC is targeting three key state supreme court races – in Ohio, Michigan, and North Carolina – as part of our 2022 Democracy Targets campaign. It’s critical that we win as many of our Democracy Target races as possible to ensure we have fair-minded public officials in place to protect our system of checks and balances.
