Dear John,
We recently released our Alzheimer's Association Annual Report, and I wanted to make sure you saw the incredible impact that we've made in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. Together, we've made significant advancements and set the pace toward achieving our vision of a world without Alzheimer's. Thank you for being part of this important progress.
Some highlights from this past year include:
The Association's largest-ever research investment, more than $42 million granted to 162 scientific investigations, supporting our commitment to accelerating global progress toward new treatments, preventions and, ultimately, a cure.
Provided care and support more than 9.1 million times through channels including phone and in-person care consultation, support groups, education programs and alz.org.
Played an instrumental part in the development, introduction and passage of the Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act, which will create an Alzheimer's public health infrastructure across the country to implement effective interventions focused on public health issues.
John, I can't thank you enough for helping make our progress possible. Your support furthers our mission to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. And for that, we're truly grateful.
I'm more hopeful than ever about our work to end Alzheimer's and am so glad you're part of our community during this important time.
Warmest wishes this holiday season and a happy New Year.
Your donation will strengthen our efforts to advance Alzheimer's care, support and research. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising global research initiatives, your gift makes a difference in the lives of all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias in your community and across the world. Thank you for your continued support.
