Electric Vehicle Week

Last week was EV Week in Canada, highlighting our Liberal government's strong actions to make electric vehicles more affordable and easier to use.

From building 50,000 more charging stations, and expanding incentives for zero-emission vehicles, to ensuring 100% of the new cars sold in Canada are zero-emission by 2035, our Liberal government is moving forward to build a better and cleaner future for Canadians.

Since the beginning of the year, Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team have continued to help attract historic investments in our workers, and position Canada as a global leader in electric vehicles and batteries manufacturing – that’s real progress to secure good middle class jobs and keep our air clean.

Making $10-a-day child care a reality

One year ago this month, our Liberal government signed the first $10-a-day child care agreement with British Columbia.

Since then, we have signed agreements with all 13 provinces and territories — cutting child care costs by 50% this year, creating more spaces, and delivering $10-a-day child care for all Canadian families.

Helping first-time home buyers

Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are taking real action to help more first-time home buyers purchase their first homes.

Whether it's doubling the rate of construction over the next 10 years, introducing a Tax-Free First Home Savings Account, doubling our First-Time Home Buyers’ Tax Credit, cracking down on speculation, and banning new foreign ownership for the next 2 years — we are making it easier for Canadians to find a home of their own.

More support for seniors

Seniors have paved the way for future generations and shaped Canada into what it is today. Now, it’s our responsibility to ensure that they have access to the care, support, and a secure retirement that they deserve.

Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team have been working hard to deliver. We’ve already increased the Old Age Security pension (OAS) and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), invested in better healthcare and age at home programs, restored the GIS and OAS requirements back to 65 from 67 after the conservatives raised it – and so much more.

Strengthening our public health care system

The health and safety of Canadians has always been our number one priority.

That’s why this month, all provinces and territories received additional funding to help deliver the high-quality public health care that Canadians deserve.

Friend, we are taking real action to build a better Canada.

Everyday, we’re continuing to build on the progress we’ve been making since 2015. Whether it’s accelerating our fight against climate change, strengthening our health care system, supporting our seniors, making housing more affordable and accessible, or creating good middle class jobs – you have been at the heart of it all, friend.

And we still have so much more progress to come!

With conservative leadership candidates continuing to push policies that would only take us backward, it’s more important than ever that we continue delivering real results on the priorities that matter most to Canadians.

That’s why we need your support at this crucial time!

If you are able, chip in now and help Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team keep Canada moving forward – for everyone.
