Hey JOHN,
The summer is always a great time on the Rose Campaign. Whether it’s a parade, block party, or knocking doors–the summer is full of opportunities to get to know our neighbors. So, here are a few highlights from the summer campaign trail so far.
Did you know that the Travis 4th of July Parade on Staten Island is one of the oldest Independence Day Celebrations in the country? Every year, the Travis Parade has been Max and our team’s favorite place to celebrate the Fourth. This year was Miles’ first time joining in on the fun, and it’s safe to say it was a hit!
Bay Ridge’s Fun on the 5th is another summer favorite for us. And this year definitely didn’t disappoint! We got to catch up with longtime supporters and get to know many new ones.
Summer days are also a great opportunity for door knocking, which is our top priority on this campaign. Max knows that no poll or focus group can beat the feedback you get from one-on-one conversations with your neighbors. The best way to capture what voters truly care about is to hit the pavement and ask them. Max, our team, and volunteers are knocking over 1,000 doors a day this summer, and if you’d like to join us click here!
These are just a few highlights from this summer, with many more still to come! We’re definitely enjoying these fun summer days, but we also have to keep our foot on the gas if we want to finish strong and win in November.
On the days when we aren’t out at community events or knocking doors, we’ve been staying busy by hiring more field staff, mobilizing our volunteers, and planning out our strategy to ensure Max’s message reaches every voter this fall. But to do all that, we can’t afford to let up on fundraising either this summer.
So, JOHN, will you chip in today to help us power through the crucial months ahead?
