We know we ask you to pitch in to our campaign every so often, but do you know why?

We ask because it was thousands of $5 donations that helped Lauren win her historic elections in 2018 and 2020 and deliver for the people of Illinois.

It was $5 that allowed Congress to pass Lauren’s Health Care Affordability Act, lowering health care costs and premiums, and leading to more Americans having health insurance now than ever before.

And it was $5 that helped us secure Democratic majorities in Congress, allowing us to pass once-in-a-generation legislation like the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to repair our roads and bridges, expand broadband access, and fight climate change.

We know five bucks might not seem like a lot, especially when you compare it to Republicans’ massive fundraising hauls (psst, they’ve raised more than $215 million this cycle). But to us, every $5 donation makes a huge difference — it’s what fuels our work to reelect Lauren and protect our Democratic majorities.

As you probably know, we’ve got a tough fight ahead of us. Republicans only need to flip five seats to reclaim the House majority, and Lauren is one of their top targets. If we’re going to protect this seat in November, it’s going to take a lot of folks pitching in what they can, when they can. That’s why we’re asking:
