Just weeks ago, President Biden promised not to ask for more oil from Saudi Arabia. Now, he’s doing just that.

To see how dangerous it is to rely on foreign, and often hostile powers for our energy supply, we only need to look at the disaster unfolding in Europe as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine drags on. 

The United States has its own massive reserve of untapped oil resources - in fact, we’re the world’s number one oil producer.

So why are we counting on Saudi Arabia’s oil? Because President Biden’s crusade against American energy has crippled domestic production.

By stopping leases for drilling on federal property  and canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline, President Biden has made it impossible for America to rely on its own production. He could undo the damage, if he wanted.

Democrats should call on President Biden to reverse course and reopen America’s energy industry, but they won’t.
