Folks, I want to bring this to your attention:

Forbes: “Supreme Court Takes Up Case That Could Make It Easier To Overturn Elections”

Moore v. Harper is one of the most critical voting rights case to date. And the Supreme Court’s final decision could give Senator John Kennedy and his allies the green light to attempt another January 6th coup.

Let me explain:

This case involves North Carolina’s redistricting maps and whether state courts can overrule final election decisions made by state legislatures.

So what does that have to do with us?

Moore v. Harper could take away the state court’s constitutional power to reject bad election laws AND allow state legislatures to overturn the presidential election results in 2024. Not just in North Carolina, but here in Louisiana and everywhere else in the country.

Folks, if you thought that January 6th was bad, wait until you see what’s in store for us in the next election if we allow the infrastructure that protects our democracy to erode any further.

Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. If we lose that, nothing else matters. That’s why now more than ever, we need leaders who always put our country first, not career politicians willing to sacrifice our democracy at the altar of their ambition.

I’ve spent my entire career defending democracy, and I’m not going to stop now.

Chip in whatever you can (even just $2 makes an impact) to defeat extremists like Kennedy and help me defend our democracy in Congress >>> [[link removed]]
