$15.28.
That’s how much it costs our campaign to fund one voter registration team, just $15.28.
This work is a critical part of our strategy to build the largest organizing program Kentucky has seen and defeat Rand Paul. For too long, the GOP has been able to defend their seats by leveraging voter suppression tactics and discouraging folks from raising their voices.
We can end this cycle of failed leadership by making sure everyone from the hood to the holler is registered to vote and turns out to vote for real change this election. That’s why we’re reaching out to ask you for a favor:
No one’s ever built a movement like this before in Kentucky.
Together, we are building the largest statewide deep organizing campaign in Kentucky’s history. Our organizers are currently working in all 120 counties of Kentucky to make sure our campaign’s bold, progressive message reaches every corner of our Commonwealth.
This includes inviting as many Kentuckians as possible to raise their voices in this upcoming election — especially those who have been historically disenfranchised from voting and folks who typically don’t turn in big numbers in our elections.
For too long, there’s been this myth that Kentucky will forever be a red state. But the truth is it’s a disenfranchised state. It’s a commonwealth where a whole lot of people haven’t felt heard in a long time, and where the number of people who don’t vote outnumber those who do. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul know this — so their plan is to continue dividing us, distracting us from the common priorities we share, and discouraging us from voting.
Their plan isn’t going to work this year. If you’re with us in this fight to transform politics in Kentucky and send a champion for working families to the U.S. Senate, please give $15.28 or anything you can today to support our voter registration work.
Together,
Leo
