Pelosi ignoring the will of the American people

While it is not surprising, Speaker Pelosi this week continued her effort to
undo the 2016 election or affect the 2020 election
<[link removed]>
by asking Democrat colleagues to proceed with drafting articles of impeachment
against President Trump. Democrats in Congress have wanted to impeach President
Trump ever since he was elected. With just a few weeks until the year’s end,
it’s outrageous that Pelosi andAdam Schiff have put their petty political
ambitions ahead of the needs of the American people
<[link removed]>
. Pelosi has taken her eye off the ball with the impeachment circus and as a
resultdelayed a pending trade agreement
<[link removed]>
that would support tens of thousands of jobs in Minnesota, a national defense
bill that would provide our troops with much needed resources, and left plenty
of bipartisan legislation in limbo that would help working families and small
businesses
<[link removed]>
grow our economy. Enough is enough. Let’s get to work!

Line 3 project unleashes economic engine

Just days ago we were offered a sneak peak at what unleashing the economic
engine looks like whenEnbridge announced a labor agreement with Minnesota trade
workers
<[link removed]>
that would create about 2,000 jobs in the region. As the Hibbing Daily Tribune
reported, Enbridge said the labor agreement was the “right thing to do” for the
Line 3 replacement project and “union leaders hailed the deal as a win both for
the members they represent as well as Enbridge.” The Line 3 replacement project
will not only protect our environment with a safer, 21st century technology
pipeline, it will have a tremendous economic impact on working families and
communities in the region.

Americans soundly reject Green New Deal

I have shared with you before the facts about the $93 trillion Green New Deal
<[link removed]>
and how this radical energy scheme that bans everything from cows to cars
would abolish our mining and manufacturing industries and cripple our economy.
So it comes as no when aWashington Post poll
<[link removed]>
reveals Americans overwhelmingly “reject paying trillions” for this
pie-in-the-sky proposal. This Green New Deal, like many of the Democrats’
socialist policies, is a direct affront to our way of life and I will fight
against this ridiculous proposal every stop of the way.

We can responsibly mine and keep BWCA pristine

With a pre-determined anti-mining outcome, the Minneapolis Star Tribune
produced an editorial recently that once again shows how they, from their
downtown Minneapolis offices, want to dictate our lives in northern Minnesota
not considering an ounce of concern toward our regional economy and the
communities that call that area “home.” Predictably, the Minneapolis newspaper
opposes mining citing a stack of anti-mining advocates. Believe me when I say
our way of life is under attack. I see it in Congress every day and you can see
it from the blame-Trump-for-everything crowd clinging to an extreme, socialist
agenda that promises to kill our mining and manufacturing industry at every
turn. Kelly Osborne, the CEO of Twin Metals Minnesota, rightlyresponded
<[link removed]>
to the Star Tribune: “We intend to make our mine a model for sustainable,
modern underground mining – and yield to no one in our concern for the
protection of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.”

Consider giving a toy to Toys for Tots

During this holiday season, I encourage you to join Jodi and me by doing what
we can to help those in need. Since Toys for Tots was founded in 1948, U.S.
Marines have conducted nationwide toy collecting campaigns during the Christmas
season to “bring the joy of Christmas to America’s needy children.” To find
your closest drop-off locations by county, please visit the Toys for Tots
Minnesota linkhere

. The collection deadlines for most are about a week away!

Have a great week!
