Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Gray Wolf Restoration and Management is accepting comments regarding the planning process to restore wolves to Colorado. The comments will be made submitted to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission.

Wolf recovery in Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana has not had a negative impact on elk populations in these states
You fully support and encourage non-lethal measures to address conflicts
Based on license sales, only 5.2% of residents hunt and it is anticipated that even less would be interested in hunting wolves.
In the Western US a minority approve of hunting for sport. Nationwide, a recent poll by Remington found that 76% of Americans oppose trophy hunting.
There is no biological or scientific need to hunt wolves.
The wolf restoration plan must be based on science and objectivity using facts, not hearsay, myths and embellished tales.

REMINDER MINI-GRANTS TO BE AWARDED
We are proud to announce that for the fourth year, we will be awarding mini-grants for wolf education and/or the promotion of non-lethal measures to minimize wolf conflicts. Due date for submission is October 14th 2022 and will be awarded in the amount up to $500.
