Week-in-Review
Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
As I begin another busy week in D.C., I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
Last Friday, I joined several of my House colleagues to urge support for the absolute right of states like Texas to secure their own borders. Texas is under siege; migrants and Americans are dying daily because this administration refuses to secure our border. Texas has a moral obligation to defend its citizens.
On Sunday, I published an op-ed in the Daily Caller again explaining why what is happening at our border is an "invasion" under Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution. I explain: “We face an invasion organized by heavily armed and dangerous cartels making hundreds of millions of dollars moving human beings and narcotics for profit while purposefully terrorizing Texans, Americans and the migrants seeking to come here.”
Read the full piece here.
I also called on my colleagues in Congress to fix the National Defense Authorization Act. Put simply, I refuse to vote for a defense bill that fires healthy, qualified service members because they won't get a politicized injection, brainwashes our troops with anti-American ideology and pursues fantasy 'green' energy programs. Our military deserves better, and the American people deserve better. Congress should go back to the drawing board and come up with an NDAA that actually serves both of them.
See my full statement here.
Finally, I joined Shannon Bream on Fox News to discuss the worsening border crisis and how the Biden administration is deliberately endangering migrants. Bottom line: Texas shouldn’t have to do the federal government’s job and secure the border – but we need to stop this invasion any way we can.

Here are some news stories about what I’ve been up to lately:
