Here in Michigan, Republicans are fighting to enforce a nearly century-old abortion ban now that the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

They want to reinstate a draconian 1931 law that bans abortion without exceptions for rape or incest. But I am fighting like hell to protect abortion access.

I’ve filed a lawsuit with the state Supreme Court to recognize the right to an abortion under Michigan’s constitution. But when a fundamental right is threatened nationwide, it’s all hands on deck to stop the ongoing anti-choice attacks.

We need to elect pro-choice leaders in every corner of this country, at every level of government, who will fight for reproductive freedom. That is going to take all of us coming together right here right now -- especially before this year’s midterm elections.
