Congress should NOT be increasing an already bloated pentagon budget.
John, the U.S. House passed yet another military budget increase last week: $808 billion. That’s billions more than any of Trump’s military budgets. And it’s billions more than last year’s military spending bill.
I voted NO on the military budget. Congress should NOT be increasing an already bloated pentagon budget. It should be spending money on guaranteeing health care for all, funding clean energy, raising wages, investing in child care and education, fighting for our unions and labor protections, and so much more.
If you agree, please add your name to my call to cut the military budget by 10% and invest in our people and our planet. We must send a message to Washington D.C. that health care, education, and clean energy are our priorities.

I’ve championed a 10% cut to the defense budget for years. I voted with more than 70 of my colleagues to slash the budget. $80+ billion could do so much for our country, at a time when we must invest in our public health infrastructure, our fight against climate change, and our social safety net.
Our country must redefine and reimagine what it means to be strong. Being strong is NOT giving more money to a bloated Pentagon budget that is already larger than the following 11 countries’ military budgets combined. Our fight for transformative change is only as powerful as the grassroots movement behind it. Are you with me?
Sign on today to call on Congress to slash the military budget and fund health care, climate, education, and child care initiatives.
