Tim and I both grew up in tight knit communities—Niles, Ohio and Harrington Park, New Jersey, respectively—and we each chose to pursue a life of public service with the hopes of having a positive impact on our communities.

That’s why we’re so frustrated every time we’re forced to watch legislation—things that would dramatically improve the lives of everyday Americans—wither away on the Senate floor.
