John,
It's like d?j? vu. Salt Lake City once again hit record temps this weekend, reaching 107 degrees. It's uncomfortable, dangerous, and on its way to becoming our new normal. Last year o2 Utah mobilized to take action, and we are on our way to a solution, Prosperity 2030. But we need your support.
Please consider donating to o2 Utah today. $25 ensures our team can work full time with legislators to pass Prosperity 2030, a necessary framework to fight climate change, clean our air, and keep the Wasatch Front livable for those most at risk for heat, pollution and climate change.
Enough is enough, record breaking temps should not be our norm.
All the best,
Greg

John,
Salt Lake City just hit its panic button and we're definitely sweating.
This is the temperature recorded on Tuesday, a sweltering 107?. We've only seen this number two other times in recorded history, and it's accompanied by alarming drought throughout the state.
For the first time ever, Salt Lake City is projected to have six straight days of triple-digit heat. And it's only June. If this isn't our home's cry for help then we don't know what is.
These numbers have quite literally lit a fire underneath us and we're doubling down on our work. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and there are decision-makers who have the power to enact these desperate measures. Our mission is to hold them accountable to this responsibility.
This record-breaking heatwave is hitting the entire Wasatch Front, state, and entire Mountain West. Ignoring it is most definitely not in the best interest of Utahns, and the job description of a Utah legislator is to act in our best interest.
Join us in reminding them of this, and with enough voices in their ears, this environmental crisis will make it to the top of their priority list.
Thank you in advance for forwarding this email and sharing the link to the above letter campaign on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Best,
The O2 Utah Team
