I’m alarmed by the divide in our country.

It is a product of strategic and manipulative lies.

Lies told by representatives in office who have no desire to serve. They only want to profit.

Lies meant to deceive voters. Lies built to sustain power.

If we can’t trust our elected officials to tell us the truth about what’s happening before our very eyes, how can we trust them when we don’t see what’s going on behind closed doors?

On this Sunday, as I work on our 2020 plan to solve the kitchen table issues that are important to you, I make this commitment:

I will always speak the truth.

Truth is not partisan. Truth is what keeps our Nation safe.

I will follow the rule of law, and I will fight to bring our Country back together again.

That is my promise.
