Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty; you may not realize you’re dehydrated until it’s too late. Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle. According to NHTSA, in just 10 minutes, the temperature inside a vehicle can increase by 20 degrees. Don’t forget about pets and pet safety. Animals are susceptible to heat-related injuries or death.
