We Must Respond with Love & Action

Dear John,

As the eyes of the nation turned to the Supreme Court in recent months, pro-life Americans won a resounding victory when Roe v. Wade was reversed!

Yet the pro-abortion activists view this sea-change of defending vulnerable lives in the womb as a "crisis." Leftist figures in Congress and in the Biden administration have already taken multiple extreme measures to further their pro-abortion agenda.

As FRC's Ben Johnson reported last Friday in The Washington Stand: "The House of Representatives has passed two abortion-expanding bills, one of which would strike down virtually all pro-life laws nationwide and potentially force taxpayers to fund abortion until birth." That's in addition to five committee hearings on abortion that occurred last week.

And in a memo made public recently by the Wall Street Journal, the Biden administration's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced undocumented women in custody are "still entitled to abortions."

In the weeks to come, we will see the pro-abortion far Left attempt to:

  • Remove long-standing policies like the once-bipartisan Hyde Amendment that prohibits taxpayer dollars from paying for abortions;
  • Undermine the Supreme Court's decision by codifying abortion-on-demand through laws at the federal or state levels;
  • Pressure Big Business to pay for abortion-related travel;
  • Pack the courts with extreme, liberal judges.

The Left is raging after this pro-life decision. Now the voice of FRC--to inform legislators and help grassroots leaders respond--is more important than ever.

Unfortunately, that last step--tilting the courts to the Left--is already becoming a reality. Following a 53-47 Senate confirmation vote in her favor, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson now sits on the high court.

During the confirmation hearings in March, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) asked Jackson a simple question: "Can you provide a definition of the word 'woman'?"

Jackson replied: "No, I can't . . . I'm not a biologist."

The conservative female senator was incredulous about Jackson's non-answer. All of us should be. If ever there was a time to be informed and engaged citizens, that time is now!

Will America rise to the challenge of standing for truth? We must take every step to defend life and liberty now.

FRC has the infrastructure and materials to do it:

  • Our national program Washington Watch proclaims truth about current events, airing on over 800 radio stations and via several TV networks;
  • FRC's new outlet The Washington Stand presents daily news and commentary from a biblical worldview;
  • Our team is actively involved at the federal, state, and local level informing leaders in the halls of government with up-to-the-minute conservative, biblically based analysis;
  • FRC's legal experts provide direct insight to judges by filing amicus curiae ("friend of the court") briefs, as we did in the monumental Dobbs case;
  • And so much more!

Through this comprehensive strategy, together we can advance faith, family, and freedom in public policy and the culture.

We need your help to do it! Would you prayerfully consider giving a tax-deductible gift towards FRC's work of inspiring believers from coast to coast to stand for truth and righteousness?

Now that Roe has been overturned and Justice Jackson sits on the high court, the Left is counting on me and you to either sit back in apathy or fear their wrath.

But they've miscalculated!

It's not power and backroom deals alone that can change outcomes--truth still matters. That's why we must equip Americans to stand for truth in the public square.

The Dobbs opinion, grounded in constitutional principles, does not end pro-life advocates' work. But it gives our nation a beautiful new beginning--where more babies get to take their first breath, as his or her piercing first cry brings parents tears of joy.

Every state must now do everything possible to protect lives in the womb.

From small-town pastors to high-powered legislators, many advocates are using FRC's Pro-Life Maps (frc.org/ProLifeMaps) as one way to chart the path forward in their state.

At FRC, we recognize every dollar you give towards our mission is sacrificial. Rest assured that we adhere to the highest standards of stewardship as we educate and mobilize a stand for truth.
