In the weeks since Roe v. Wade was overturned, abortion bans are now in effect in over 10 states and health care providers are grappling with blatantly cruel state laws that directly violate medical expertise. Patients are being denied the right to control their bodies and personal health care decisions — leading to horrifying results.

This morning, Dr. Nisha Verma - PRH Fellow and Georgia ob/gyn and abortion provider - will testify before the U.S. House of Representatives about this escalating crisis, its impact on communities she cares for in the Southeast, and how abortion bans are preventing providers from offering high quality evidence-based care.
