Dear friends,
Right now, U.S. Senators in Washington are negotiating government spending for the next fiscal year—including crucial funding for global health programs.
This funding is essential to delivering health care to all, regardless of income or geography, but it is in jeopardy. Your voice can make the difference.
Here’s what is on the table:
* $2B for HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria programming through The Global Fund,
* $1B for USAID maternal and child health programs,
* $400K for USAID nutrition and health systems strengthening,
* And $7B for other crucial global health programs that will save lives
We’re not just asking to keep these programs in place. We’re demanding the U.S. Government increase funding, which will allow these programs to expand service delivery, which would mean we could see vital improvements to health care quality and public health all around the world within the next fiscal year. Most importantly, these greater investments will save lives.
Let’s hold our elected representatives accountable to ensure global health is a priority in the upcoming fiscal year.
