I’m reaching out to share my new television ad before it goes on air because I wanted you to be among the first to see it.

Years ago, my mom Willa moved in with us and we started a new tradition: Every Sunday, we play cards – giving me the opportunity to reconnect with my family and refocus for the week ahead.

My mom has always taught me that we don’t get to choose our cards; what matters is how we play the hand we’re dealt. That’s how I’ve approached my first 16 months as Governor.

When I was sworn in, the COVID-19 pandemic posed a public health and economic challenge like we’d never seen before, too many of our children were still attending school virtually, and many of our lifeblood small businesses were struggling to keep their doors open. 

My administration implemented the most successful vaccination rollout and economic recovery in the country, raised wages, created new jobs, protected small businesses, passed legislation to keep our schools and communities safe from gun violence, provided tax relief to working families, managed the largest surplus in Rhode Island’s history, and more.

 
In 16 months we’ve accomplished much, much more than I can fit in this email… imagine what we can do with four more years!
