In Texas, we like to do a little "straight talking" -- and if anyone is going to interfere and jeopardize the rights and liberties of Texans, they are going to get a mouthful from me.
The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, a notorious leftist who can't seem to get control of drug cartels rampaging across his country, had the absolute nerve to say Texans should oppose Gov. Abbott and not to "vote for that party," i.e. the Republican Party.
He essentially wants all Texans, especially those of Mexican descent, to vote for leftwing radical Beto O'Rourke. He said Abbott and Republicans "mistreat immigrants and Mexicans" -- an absurd, lowbrow claim.
Why the sudden interference in our political affairs? Because Governor Abbott is finally taking meaningful action to secure the border. He is stepping up because the Biden Administration is completely derelict in its duties to protect us.
So I said publicly, loud and clear, that Texas will secure the border, that we are going to do it now and if Obrador wants a skirmish, then he can MEET US IN SAN JACINTO. Watch the clip >>
Just as Sam Houston beat the Mexican army to win the Texas Revolution during the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836, we will do it again in 2022. No one messes with Texas or tells us what to do!
Obrador is crossing a line by interfering in our democratic elections and he has some nerve blaming Texas for trying to clean up the mess coming from his country!
But it goes to show what we are up against! It's not just inept bureaucrats in Washington or crazy lefties in the Democratic Party, it is the media; it is the criminal cartels; it is the government of Mexico.
Powerful interests want chaos at the border. They want American and Texas sovereignty undermined. They don't care about the lives lost, the property damaged or the incalculable toll human and drug trafficking is having on our American way of life.
This is the most important battle we have facing us today, and it's imperative that I keep up the fight in Congress and in the greater national discussion. We cannot let the enemies of America and Texas win!
